**All About Homework**

Homework Expectations   

Homework is a two week cycle. A spelling and reading log will be sent home once every two weeks on Monday.  It should be returned the following Friday.

Homework should be worked on 4 days per week.

Reading Homework

-Students are expected to be reading or listening to a book for 15 minutes a day, 4 days per week.

-The reading log should be filled out 4 days a week.  

-The first reading log is Bingo!

Spelling Homework

-Each student has an individualized list of words they should practice.

-There are three words to practice each week. 

-The spelling bag should stay at home.

-Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday are preferred for spelling.  A weekly spelling check-in will be given on Friday at school. 

-The first spelling log is Cover All! 

Math Homework

-A math game/activity will be sent home for your child to practice during that two week cycle.  More information to come in two weeks!

Lending Library Bags 

-This bag has a just-right book for your child to practice reading at home.   

-Please have your child bring their bag back when they would like to exchange their book.
