In Open Circle, we discussed what you should do to be a good listener.  I read a short story and the kids practiced being a good listener.  What did they do every time I said dog?  At school, the kids will now use their school listening look:

Math stations went really well today!  Guess My Rule, Snap-It, and Look & Remember.  Ask your child to make a guess my rule at home! 

First official day of Writer's Workshop!  Ask your child what they use if they choose to share their writing with the class. 

We created a class goal and the kids are working extra hard to follow our classroom rules.
